Outreach and Online Education IT (OOE IT) participates in multiple projects each year spanning a wide array of technologies. We have planned, designed, and implemented diverse projects for World Campus course content delivery, Azure services to support a data lake for analytics, and Power Platform automation to improve efficiency and increase business agility just to name a few.

With so many projects across so many different technologies for so many different constituent groups, coordination and collaboration are critical to delivering sustainable solutions. The evolution of the Architecture Review Board (ARB) in OOE IT has been a critical part of how we do our work. This session will offer ways to leverage an ARB for your IT group so you can deliver value and peace of mind for your future technology stack.

This session will:

  • Provide a context for how the ARB evolved
  • Review how ARB functions
  • Discuss the artifacts we generate
  • Explain the processes ARB supports
  • Describe the role it plays in supporting services

The attendees will receive:

  • An understanding of how to develop an Architecture Review Board
  • Practical examples of ways the team functions and the benefits to the organization
  • Overview of useful artifacts
